I have a William Cane married to Janet (A?????) born about 1835 in Brighton. They had Charles S. Cane c1862, Alice M. S. Cane c 1864, Louisa S. Cane c 1868, Benjamine A. Cane c1870, Richard Selby Cane c 1872 in London, Emily Cane c 1874 and John S. Cane c 1877.

Whether the "S" initial in the other names is Selby, I do not know. Richard is the Grandfather of my sister-in-law
That, I am afraid is all I have on that family.
