Hi, Thomas. My husband is a Cangiamila, though his dad changed the name to Cangie in the 40's.My husband's grandparents immigrated to Southern California in the early 1900's from Palermo, Sicily. They were Vittorio Cangiamila and Clotilde Castelli. They married after Clotilde came to America. I have seen that there are lots of Cangiamilas on the east coast, but have never connected with any.I have done some research on Cangiamilas, and have found that there were many from Caltavuturo, which is a little town near Palermo.Vittorio had a brother named Angelo, who also came to S. California.Their father was a barber to King Emmanuelle at his summer palace in Palermo. I think his name also was Vittorio and his wife's name was Rafaela.I would think that you are related to my husband in some way, be it shirttail or otherwise, as the Cangiamilas appear to have been a prolific family.Would love to hear back from you.We live in Oregon.
Jan Cangie
