Just to fill out the rest of the Cocke Co., TN Canipe set from the same data base - TN marriages:

Noah Canipe        Catherine Powell 19 Nov 1879        Cocke
William Canipe Mollie Allen        4 Apr 1877        Cocke
Martha Canipe        Marcus Samples 9 Aug 1881        Cocke

Martha and William Canipe were siblings of Noah Canipe. They were all children of Henry Canipe and his second wife, Margaret. This family moved to Cocke Co., TN from Cleveland Co., NC sometime before the 1870 census.

I'm related through Henry Canipe and his first wife, Sarah. Their daughter Nanny Canipe married John Mode in 1861, and they moved to Conway Co., AR by 1870.
