Minnie Canterbury Broughton is buried in the Bryant Family plot at Oak Grove Cemetary just outside of Meridian, MS. Minnie, according to anecdotal evidence from my late grandmother, Florence Canterbury Bryant, Minnie was a foundling left on the doorstep of Newton and Susana Canterbury (my great-grandparents). If the 1880 Census is to believed Minnie had a twin sister. I do not know what happened to her. My grandmother never mentioned her but said often that Minnie was "not a blood relative." If you want more information about the family you may contact me direct at jackmoore@zianet.com.
