I am trying to confirm that Heinrich's Gebhardt's son, Henry is my husband's gggg grandfather. I can find little information on Heinrich's son, Henry. This is the Heinrich who came to America with his brothers.
My husband's line, beginning with his father is below:
My husband's father was Ray Ellis Capehart, born at Wiley, Colorado Feb. 2, 1908. He died July 6, 1995 at his daughter's home in Seligman, MO. He had resided in Arkansas until his health got bad. He is buried at Harrison, Arkansas. He grew up in Iowa.
Ray's father was John Ellis Capehart, born 14 Sept. 1865 in Iowa County, IA. He married at Hermitage MO and later moved to Wiley, Colorado where he and his wife died of the fever. He died 12 Feb. 1908 and his wife Sarah died Feb. 6, 1908 leaving Ray an orphan.
John's father was George M. Capehart, born 14 April 1837 in Belmont Co., OH. He died 20 Dec.1920 in Guthrie County, IA.
George's father was Andrew Capehart, born July 26, 1807 in Philadelphia, PA and died 20 Nov. 1890 in Keokuk County, IA.
Andrew's father was John Capehart/Kephart or Kephart /Capehart, born Dec. 29, 1783 at Bucks County, PA and died 21 July 1858 at Bucks County, PA ???
I think maybe John's father was Henry Capehart/Kephart, born 1756 Bristol Twp., Philadelphia Co., PA or Bensalem. He served in the Cumberland Company Militia and returned to Bensalem Twp., Bucks County.
Do you have information about this Henry Capehart/Kephart or know of someone who does? Calvin Kephart mentioned Henry but only a daughter, Elizabeth. One person says Elizabeth was his sister.
