According to a an undated, unsigned chart someone sent me, Robert F. KEMP was b. 9/25/1811, son of Joshua and Elizabeth (CAPLES) KEMP. Elizabeth was b. 7/5/1772 and d. 1823. I believe that she was d/o Robert Francis and Ailcy/Alice (COLE) CAPLES. Several of the daughters of Robert and Alcy named their second born son Robert F. after the maternal grandfather, consistent with traditional naming patterns. If Robert Francis KEMP and his wife Elizabeth Ann CAPLES were first cousins, it could mean that she was the daughter of Jacob L. CAPLES and his first wife, Katherine MIKE, who m. by license dated 3/21/1799. Katherine d. by 3/26/1816 when Jacob m. Mary BARRETT (or BASSETT). What were the names of the children of Robert F. and Elizabeth A. (CAPLES) KEMP?
