William Rupert Caple (b. 1875 in Saginaw?, Michigan; d. 1942 in Ottawa,ON,Canada)(my g-grandfather) came from a family based in the Watertown/Syracuse areas. His older brother was Adelbert and his mother was Kate. There was also an older sister. The older sibs were born in NY. After his parents died, he and his brother lived with an "uncle" who beat them. William ran away, eventually to Canada. William always said his family was German.
