Yes Carson Capel is the son of:

Jesse Baldwin Capel 1811-1888 from
William Coppedge Capel 1782-1872 (a ripe old age) out of
Edward Capel d.1795 out of
Thomas Capel d.1769 out of
Edward Capel no info out of
Thomas Capel married in 1663

This is unverified info I got from free sources and kind people on line.

The alfa, or 1st Capel (in my line anyway)may be a William Capell who migrated to Virginia from England - 6th July 1635?
I find him listed in Passengers to America (Communicated for the Register, by H. G. Somerby, Esq.) On page 92 it states: "6th July 1635. In the Paule of London Leonard Betts M bound to Virginia pr. certificate from the Minister of Gravesend of their Conformitie to the Church of England."

Ganelle Yoner provided the above comment on this forum but I haven't gotten any response from her. He (William) is certainly the right age to have been Thomas' father and seems like every Capel during that nearly 200 year stretch was either named William, Thomas, or Edward.

Jess Capel
