I too am interested in the Caples book. Did any of you get a copy or zerox a copy?

I have worked on my Caple-Kaple lines 30 years....I descend from theIrland- English Kaple line to Boston in the 1720's; my immigrant pedigree ancestors arrived in Boston,Mass....drifted to Conn. 1750's and worked for Govenor Trumbull...and helped set the cannons on the fort. This line drifted to Decatur, Otsego Co., NY--and then to Alfred, Allegany Co.,NY--and beyond. From this branch many drifted through out central NYS and to western NYS--to Ohio--to Michigan--and beyond. but are not hooked up with nor descended from the group that founded the group in Maryland.

At one time --before computers were the in thing--I conversed with a lady who lived in Oregon whose Caple-Kaple line came out of Anne Arundel or Arundel, Maryland....and her lines seemed not to go north but south and west from Maryland.....If I am recalling correctly she also told me she felt that the immigrant who started the Maryland branch is related to our Thomas Kaple and Jane Dixon that landed at Boston,Mass. Could have been brothers....

I am interested in the book--or papers--you talk of; did any of you get to see them?...or read them?
