Something is strange here. I have a John C. Barnes age 6, living with his grandmother Jane R.(Kidd) Given(s) in 1860 in Lauderdale Co., Tn. His mother is Caras M. Given(s) Barnes and she is living with her mother also. Just below them on the census is James H. Given(s),the son of Jane and brother to Caras Barnes and he has a daughter named Caras, and I assume she is named after her aunt. What do you make of this?
