I have a W.E.J.Swan (22) who married Lelia Caplener (aka Caplinger) (16) on February 7, 1879 in Monroe Co., Arkansas. W.E.J.'s father may be William B. Swon, b. 20Mar1812, d. 14Apr1881 in AR. In late 1883, William E. Swan (Lelia's husband) and G.T. Caplener (and his wife, Mollie) in Monroe Co., AR, grant real property to W.J. Johnson. I suspect your Swann may be tied in somehow because the Capleners/Caplingers came to Arkansas via Wilson Co., TN area in early 1800s. Can you tie the above Swon/Swan names with your line?
