I am a direct Descendant of Dr. John Caplinger of Sinking Springs Ohio. I use to live less than 5 miles from his original homestead in Highland county. I do not know how I am a direct descendant as All I got from my grandmother before she did is that we were related to him. His headstone is still on the property although it has been moved from the grave. I wish to remove it from the property as to it is being sold and I don't wish any harm to it. I know that Dr. John's family came from Germany on a ship called the Abagail. sometime in the 1700's. If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again Jennifer. My great grand fathers name was Alton Caplinger and my Great Grandmothers I think was Alma. I am not complety sure of my great grandmothers name or maiden name.
