I am researching the FITE family. I have a marriage for Martha A "Dicey" FITE and Neil Caplinger on 12 Sep 1880 in Newton CO, MO.

I received this information yesterday in a response to a query. Both Neil and Martha R "Dicey" Fite are listed on the 1880 Newton Co, MO census as follows:

Marion Township household # 199-209
Dority, John W M 63 yrs. farmer b KY- Ireland-Prussia
Dority, Mary W F 63 wife b NC-NC-NC
Fike, Dicy W F 23, living with, housekeeping b TN-TN-TN
Caplinger, Neal W M 22 hired hand, working on farm b OH-OH-OH

Apparently they were employees of the Dority household and decided to marry. I believe that you were the kind researcher who answered one of my queries on Dicey and Neal in the Newton Co, MO forum. Again, thanks so much.

I have been searching for this line for several years. I could not find Martha's parents- Wesley S Fite and Amanda Caroline Pollock until recently.

I have a alot of Fite information to add to your Caplinger information and would be willing to exchange information.
