Hi Jeanette,
Thanks for your reply,
I would love to learn more about the Capper family from Walter Tertius dating back down the line.
I have plenty of information about the Capper family in Australia and predominately my line from Walter Tertius right down to me as I am only one of two Capper males that remain from that line.
We also have in the family a copy of Walter Tertius orignal birth certificate.
My wife and I have made a very rough hand drawn family tree of the line that I can scan and send to you and you may be able to make some sense of.
It is quite a sad tale, Walter Tertius life in Abbotsford, Victoria as you may have read in the news paper articles but I would be more than happy to share all the information I have with you.
I have emailed to you a photo of the rough drawing of our family tree that may be of interest to you.
The confusion lies in the fact that Walter Tertius first wife Eliza Wackett died in 1879 leaving him with 5 children to raise he then remarried Jane Scott in the same year. of those 5 children only one (I know of) had children Francis Henry Izon Capper (named after his brother who died in 1858 at a young age in QLD) married Eleanor Ann Green who then had 4 children Edward Howard Capper B.1897 Myra Catherine Capper B.1893 Harold Gilbert Capper B.1902 and Francis Henry Capper B.1892 of these children only one married and had children Edward Howard Capper married Alfreda Jennings (my great grand parents) who then had 6 children of which one was my grandfather Sydney Charles Capper B.1920s who married Kathleen Joyce Manning and they had one child my father Kevin Charles Capper B.1944 who had 3 children of which I was the middle child B1980.
I know this post lacks depth but as metionedhave emailed you a rough draft of our family tree, i am very keen to learn more.
Also, a little side note my great Uncle Walter Richard Capper B.1930 as the youngest son of Edward Howard Capper had a son Warwick Capper B.1963 who was (and still kind of is) a high profile AFL football player and celebrity known more now for being a bit of a larikin than athlete.
Look forward to hearing from you shortly
Kind regards
Ross Capper
