Do you know how the Cappleman's came to the United States?
You seem to answer alot of questions about the Cappleman's in England. My father Purvis Elton Cappleman was under the impression that our Family came from Germany and change their spelling from Kappleman, Kappelman, Kepperman, Caplemer, Caplemar, Caperman, Jacob Keppleman II (all seven have been proven by legal document found in Newberry, SC under Jacob Cappleman who died in Newberry, South Carolina on March 1, 1792. Jacob was born about the year 1730 but do not know where. He first shows up in South Carolina on paper in 1768. If you can help please let me know.
