Hi,
If you do not mind I would like to know how you are related? I was told by that we are not related to the Capplemans in England. It is strange to see that most of them think that they may have came from Germany. I am trying to finish what my father started. Dad shows that there was a Phil Cappleman and a Mary Cappleman. The only records we have are where in the year 1792 John Cappleman and Mary Cappleman signed a deed to John Shumpert for 59 acres of the original Jacob Cappleman grant. The description of this land says that it was bordered by lands belonging to (one of 4 names was Phil Cappleman). Mary was one daughter listed in the 1790 census, and the only female Cappleman we can find any record of who signed a deed jointly with John Cappleman to a portion of the original Jacob Cappleman land in October 18, 1792 and she did not sign as wife. We know rthat John did not get married until the year 1804. Dad concluded that Mary must have been the one and only sister of John Cappleman. He has no other records on her. I will try to answer you other question tomorrow night.
Kathy
