Dear Luciano,
I have not direct answers to your request, however I can give you some information that could be helpful.
I am also originating from Caposele, Avellino. (this is the right spelling).
The name of this town comes from the river Sele, that has its source there, so Capo(head)Sele.
My father Alfonso was born there in 1893, from my grandfather Giuseppe, that was the secretary of the Caposele town.
If not cousins, for shure my and your father were relatives and friends, about the same age, same family name, in a small town.
There are still many Caprio in Caposele, and one square and one street is named to a Caprio family member.
My family house was in "via del castello" (Castle Road), that was running aside the church.
I say "was" because, as you perhaps know, Caposele and other surrounding towns were almost completely destroyed by a terrific earthquake about twenty years ago, that made thousands of victims in the Avellino province.
Now the town is reconstructed, but nothing is as before.
I do live in Italy, near Milano.
Hope this information can be helpful for you.
Regards
