Cupano, Cupane or Capuano?

I would like to know if our name Cupano is a part of the Capuano Family and that maybe the name had been changed upon arriving at Ellis Island. I can find no information on the name Cupano upon looking on websites. A member of the Giammo Family answered my e-mail from a website and said we were 4th cousins by the Carcione Name. My grandfather's name was Nunzio Capane, according to the passenger record of the Attivita that departed Napoli, arriving in New York on March 28, 1904. I believe he had a brother named Frank that also came over. Grandpa Nunzio married my grandmother Giuseppa Carcione of Mirto, Italy, who arrived on October 23, 1916 on the Giuseppa Verdi, that departed from Palermo, Italy. They had nine children, two dying as infants. Anthony, Frank, John, Nunzio, Mary, Nina and my mother Concetta were their other children. We lived mostly in the Bound Brook, Somerville, Piscataway - New Jersey area. Nunzio moved to New York. All are passed on now except for Aunt Nina. We have alot of cousins still floating around though, that would like to know their ancestery. Thank you for any information, Diana
