I do not know if you are still interested but my name is Salvatore Capuano and my granfather's also;I'm from a little town in the south of Italy called Bacoli, about 20 minutes north of Naples and as far as I know by information I was able to get during my last trip to Italy, ours was one of the seven families that reached the south of Italy in the 1500-1600 and they were coming from Israel.
Apparently they were hiding from the chearch because of the inquisition so they changed names and religions
Seams that the chearch has more information wich are not easily disclosed maybe because of that particular time in history.
