Lazaro, Damaso & Francisco Cardenas / Michoacan MX
Cardenas Family researchers, let me know what you think.....
I just bought the book, Lazaro Cardenas Mexican Democrat, published in 1952. It states that President Lázaro Cárdenas's parents were Dámaso Cárdenas & Felícitas Del Rio Cárdenas. Lázaro's Grandfather, (Dámaso's Father), was Francisco Cárdenas. Although it doesn't name them all, this book states that Lázaro had 7 siblings. That means I am missing one from the info. that I have of: Margarita, Angelina, Alberto, Dámaso, Jose Raymundo, and Josefina. Although the book doesn't list all of their names, it states that President Lárzaro Cárdenas was the eldest of 8 children, and names one brother as Dámaso, and another, his youngest brother, as José. It also mentions twins, and unusual for that time, that all of their 8 children survived. The book names Lazaro's wife as Amalia Solorzano, and their natural born children as Alicia & Cuauhtémoc. Apparently, they took on many underprivaledged children as foster type kids.
I am still trying to tie my Josefa Cardenas Nunez, & Isadoro Cardenas to Lázaro.
Any additional info is welcomed, needed, and greatly appreciated.
