Dominick and Santa Cardinale - Louisiana
Posted by: Rene Poole (ID *****1241) Date: February 10, 2010 at 21:45:03

I welcome any information you can provide about my grandparents Dominick and Santa Cardinale. I was told that they were Italian Immagrants. I am not sure what year they came to the United States. There were three children; my father Soule Cardinal who was originally named Russolino Cardinale, another son named Carl and a daughter Rose or Rosemary I am not sure.

My father lived in Harvey, Louisiana and has several children. I am only interested in tracing my family roots please do not think that I am looking for any monetary gain. I was also told that my grandparents were originally from Sicily and lived around Napoleonville, LA.

My granddaughter is doing a project at school on the Orphans of Ellis Island and when I mentioned to her that my father is Italian the questions started coming and I wanted to give her as much information as I could. There were many gaps because my father did not talk about his parents. Any information you can provide is appreciated. May God Bless.
