Matt, I can answer some question. My Great Grandfather, Gaetano Cardinale born in Santo Stefano Italy Jan 11, 1885 immigrated to the US in 1885. He married Carmello Milatello (I'm not sure if I have the spelling correct) on an unknown date. I know of three sons, Angelo, Stephen, and Salvatore. Salvatore, my grandfather, was born in Tampa on Jan 12, 1917. He married Mary LaRosa, from California. Salvatore dropped the accented e when he was a machinist during WWII because of a general dislike in the US against people of Italian descent due mainly to the fact that the US was at war with Mussolini's Italy.

Tara is my sister, from my Dad's third marriage. Hope that fills some info in for you.
