I am a decendent of the Bourbeau-LaCourse Carignan family.
We are planning a family reunion on August 24th for our family that is known as the Currier family here in Ballston Spa New York. Grandmother Olivine Carignan and Grandfather Doseith (Dustin Levi known as Levi here) did not speake very good english when they came here and the postman could not pronounce their name so he called them currier and it stayed with them. Their children, Alice Marie, Edmund, George, and Henrietta went by the name Currier and the next generation, etc.
Back to your question about the crest. It is a Silver helmet above a flag. The top half is yellow with a white star in the center. The bottom half is royal blue with a white dove in the center. It is surrounded with a flur de lis. I purchased mine from The cost for the paper printout was $20. It is not as thourogh as the information I have received on this site however.
