Victor Carignan was a brother in law of my ggg grandfather Henry Billings and the two families traveled together around the U.S. and Canada. Henry's family lived near Victor's in Lewiston, ME in 1879-1882, and later they both ended up in Michigan. I could never figured out where Henry was in 1873 (when my gg grandfather Onesime was born) and Onesime's own daughters (now deceased) told me they had no idea where their father had been born. I bet its Lowell, MA.

It looks like Victor ended up back in St Pierre les Becquets in 1891, but I couldn't find a burial for him.
