Dear Sister,

I believe that the two Pierres are one and the same, and that your Anne Mongrain is in fact Marie-Anne Lafond dit Mongrain. Mongrain is not an immigrant name, but a "dit " name assumed by Anne's father Jean. Pierre & Anne had a daughter named Marie-Louise, born in 1750 in Batiscan. I think she is your Louise. Pierre is the son of Francois Duclos dit Carignan and Charlotte Dutaut, my ancestors. Please contact me via e-mail.
