Is this the same Daniel from Surry married in 1838 to Sarah Mageehen? I recently came across 2 Carlands in TN that were born in NC, that I was not aware of before. I have visited the Carlin site a few times but couldnt find anything that really tied to our John. My mother (a Carland) was born in Asheville and her father was born in Mills River, Henderson Co., his grandfather was Hiram Carland. So most are buried in the Mills River area. To save time if you want you can e-mail me directly Yawnsr@msn.com.
