Judith,
I found another marriage for him, plus had the one listed you name, too.Don't have anything but this
Md Julis Peck, 11 Jun 1846, Platteville,Grant, WI
Source of record:
Ancestry.com website: Wisconsin Marriages 1835-1900.Orig. data "Grant Co, WI Marriages, 1835-1900"Records at Lancaster.FHL #1266662 & 1266988.
Grant County records span 1835-1900.county formed 1836 from nearby Iowa County.Lancaster is the county seat.
I believe this Gilbert will turn up on the Quartus Carley family I'm working on, as I believer the parent of Quartus of Amboy's father and mother is going to be (totally unproven yet) Joseph, Jr Carley and Sarah/Sally Gilbert.Joseph Carley, Jr being son of Joseph Carley, Sr and his wife Sarah/Sally Washburn. Please bear in mind, this is a work in progress, not proven.
