Carlin Clan in Franklin Co NY
I am interesting in finding out information about the Carlin clan in Malone Twp, Franklin Co NY which is right up by the St. Lawrence River.Many were parishioners at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hogansburg NY.Many were naturalized there saying they had arrived in the US as early as 1830.I do not know the relationship of all these Carlins but would like to know that and where they came from in Ireland.

Patrick Carlin, born ca 1791 IR, arrived 1831 married Bridget McGivney 1833-1834, naturalized in 1839
William Carlin born ca 1799-1801 IR, arrived 1830, married Ellen --- before 1850, left a will in 1854
Joseph Carlon born ca 1806 IR m1) Margaret --, m2) Mary Devlin 1840, naturalized in 1847
Andrew Carlon born 1807-1811IR arrived 1832, married Ann McGivney 1843, naturalized 1855
Edward Carlon born ca 1808, arrived 1831, naturalized 1842

Barnard Carlin b ca 1812 IR, arrived 1851, d ca 1872
Daniel Carlon b ? IR, arrived 1831, naturalized ca 1855
Peter CARLIN is of special interest to me.He was born 1802-1810 (depending on which census record), m Bridget COLLINS either in Ireland or soon after arrival, naturalized 1848.Children born NY in 1850 census of Franklin Co NY: Mary Ann 5y, Ellen 3y, William 1y and John 4/12y.Family moved to Clermont Twp, Fayette Co IA before 1855.Peter and Bridget buried there in 1885.

Lawrence b 1853 m Mary E. Flynn, lived Clermont Co, Fayette Co IA all of life, d 1942
James b 1858 m Jane --- d 1900, bur St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fayette Co IA
