Facebook: Carlos & Duffy, County Roscommon, Ireland, 1800s
On Facebook, I started a Carlos-from-Ireland account at:

for us to swap info. By Ireland, I mean County Roscommonand adjacent counties. This includes DonCarlos. I lost touch with several Carlos researchers over the years. It's a shame because now with Facebook, we may actually be able to get somewhere. I and others hit brick walls that seemed insurmountable just five years' ago.
I published a RootsWeb WorldConnect database, including many Carlos' who passed through New York City:

my 2nd great-grandfather, James Carlos (b abt 1833 County Roscommon, Ireland; d 1875 Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, USA)
James' wife Mary Duffy (or Dufficy) (b abt 1840 County Roscommon, Ireland; d 1922 Brooklyn, Kings, New York, USA)
Related surnames: Denigan/Dunigan, Farrell, Feeny, Flanagan, Gill, (O')Hanley, Moran, Owens, Padian, Tighe, Winn.
Carlos' fanned out to places like England, Scotland, Canada, USA and Australia, following typical 19th-century Irish emigration patterns.
