I am certain you mean William Carnegy (d.11/15/1823) who m. Elizabeth "Betsy" Powers (b. 1761 d. 8/21/1843). Their dau. Ann S. Carnegy inherited "Greenway Court" and married Rev. Thomas Kennerly. They had several children, my ancestor being Sarah Wrenshaw Kennerly who married Edward White Massey. Space is limited here but refer to a wonderful book, Annals of Clarke County Virginia by Stuart Brown for more info. He even describes where you may find the marked graves of William and Betsy Carnegy, as well as Ann Carnegy Kennerly. Good luck!
