It seems that you have been talking back and forth with my mother in law for sometime. Her name is Linda. I found a Wood Parker connection(maybe)on the find a Grave site. There was a Parker that married a Wood that is buried in the Buffalo Cemetery in Leon. Co. Texas in the early 1900's. I don't know about it though, since I am not familiar with your tree. If you want you might want to check that site out. This is a connection to AR, and I looked into that and found a John Parker buried in a cemetery there. The name on this site is Martha Alma Parker Wood. This takes you to a Marion Co. AR, where I found the John Parker listed.
I have been trying to figure out how you think her tree would fit into this line, but am not sure. I also ran across a post in the Carnell site about Asa Parker being at a Mildred Carnells home, I just did a search for Asa Parker in the Carnell sure name. It was of interest because of this being someone of relation to John Parker. So maybe you have a connect to this Mildred some how. It might be an avenue to check.
The only reason that I think that they have to be of some relation to John Parker, is because of the names of several children in P.M. Parkers line. We have J.S. Parker(which we have no idea what it stands for), but then Pleasant(P.M.'s son)names one of his sons John, and then his sister Mary Jane also names a son John. They also use the name Marion for one of there sons, which might be a link to the Sonny(that is listed on the 1880 census). Since P.M. did name a son after himself maybe, I believe that he must of named his first born after his father. I think J.S. is John. This is all guessing as I don't really know because we have no connection to where J.S. Parker went after Leon Co 1880.
I think that I have run across something about Hooper, as I myself am a decendent of some Hoopers(the Parker line is my husbands).
Could you please explain to me how you might think that Lindas line of Parkers and your Woods fit? Maybe with a bit of understanding you and I can figure it out.
Thank you alot Kay,
