Peggy, Harris Dixon Carnell was my mother in law's uncle. He was the son of Henry H. (Harrison?) CARNELL and Frances Jane ARNOLD, and the grandson of William D. CARNELL and Angeline McCRACKEN.
Harris's siblings were Aaron Dorsey "Doss" CARNELL, Mary Lula "Lou" CARNELL, John Edward CARNELL, Josephine Elizabeth "Lizzie" CARNELL, Anise (Annis) Viola CARNELL, Walter Waldo CARNELL, and Francis Jewel CARNELL. The only one I ever met was Aunt Jewel, who had a photo of Henry CARNELL which I copied.
My mother in law, Mary Lou TURNER was the daughter of Mary Lula, and the information I have was mostly researched by her sister, Margaret. I have all of Margaret's research, including a letter from Nora.
I also have been to the cemetery and photographed some of the CARNELL tombstones. I will try to print out a couple of family group sheets and email them to you. If any one else is interested, let me know.
