I have William Carnell born about 1852/53 and he was married to Adaline and they lived in Lauderdale Co., TN. I don't have a whole lot of new info for you but I know it's the same line you are working. I had your descendency in my records down to Lois Mabel Thurmond.

William & Adaline Carnell were married 9 Jan 1872 in Lauderdale Co., TN

I have William Carnell & Adaline's children listed as:
Callie Carnell, b abt 1873 - d bef 1915, married Waddie Viar

Leliar Ann Carnell, b 7 Aug 1877 - d 30 Jul 1952, married Thomas N. Love

Aladora Carnell, b Feb 1880 - d 12 Jul 1919, married William F. Moore

Irene Carnell, b abt 1882 - d abt 1982, married James Fletcher Thurmond
I have William Carnel's parents as: Joseph D. Carnell, b 18 Aug 1819 - d 9 Jan 1897, married on 20 Dec 1849 in Lauderdale Co. to Caroline G. Long b 3 Mar 1813 - d 14 Sept 1889 (both are Buried in Carnell Cemetery, west side yd of Paul Miller on Hiway 88, next to Bethesda Church, west of Halls, TN, under a tree) Caroline's headstone may read 8 March as her birthdate. Caroline is Joseph's 2nd wife.
Joseph came from Caroline Co., VA between 1844-48. He came with the Wrights who settled near Bethesda Church. I don't know if that means he came along with the Wrights, or his whole family did.
I have Joseph & Caroline's children listed as:
Mary Carnell (no dates) married a Taliferro
Wesley Carnell, b abt 1850
William C. Carnell (see above)
John L. Carnell, b abt 1853
Joseph Mel Carnell, b abt 1856
Joseph D. Carnell's 1st marriage, don't have spouse name
Children from the 1st marriage:
Edgar Carnell, b abt 1844
James M. Carnell, b Nov 1845
Dorinda A. Carnell, b Aug 1848, married a Jones
Parents of Caroline G. Long:
Michael Long, b abt 1760, Newberry Dist., NC or SC, d abt 1832, Williamson Co., TN. He was a Saddler, Planter & Distiller. Served in rev. war under Capt. Wm. Hansel, Regiment of Col. Philemon Waters. When he died, he left his wife: one bed, bedclothing, one carnpost bedsted, and one young horse and one cow. He also left 1/6 part of $750 and 1/6 part of all his property and slaves (he had four) except for his land. He married: Catherine Kinard, b abt 1775 in NC. Their children were:
Elizabeth Long, married a Mr. Priest
George Long
James Long
Mary Long, married a Salsbury
Rebecca Long
Salla Long, married a Quinn
Susan Long, also married a Mr. Priest
Caroline G. Long (see above)
Michael Long's parents were:
Jakob Lang (name changed with Michael) b abt 1737, d abt 1786, married Judith. I don't have any other info on children other than Michael. Jakob came to U.S. from Switzerland via Rotterdam on the "Caledonia"; arrived Charleston, SC Dec 7, 1752

That's pretty much everything I have. Not a whole lot of it is documented by me yet, I'm still working on souces. Most of this info I received from my cousin Katie Love(Tennessee) who has done extensive work on our lines.

I hope this gives you something to work with.
