Henry Carnes Jane Jarret Bible
Posted by: keith vance (ID *****8970) Date: December 29, 2009 at 01:08:28
  of 1686

The transcription was done in the 1960's,(I believe) and submitted to Salt Lake City.

Am uncertain as to what detail was taken from the 1850 cenus and what detail was from the Bible. All the Childrens birthdates are there except for one. Bible may have been Henry's or one of the children's. The plan would be to see the Bible.

Henry Carnes parents are not named.

The father of Jane is named as Issac as well as his parents James Jarret and Elizabeth Griffey, but they are in parentheses. The mother of Jane is not presented.

The Bible also states that Henry and Jane were married in 1823 on Witcher Creek at Uncle Jesse's.

Many other public files and trees are incorrect as to the parents of Jane.

All children of Henry and Jane are present except for Arthur b. Mar 1826.

There is no reason not to accept Arthur as son as there is a gap in the children listed from 1824 to 1828. Also, many of Arthur's children have the same name as the other children of Henry and Jane.

Any sources as to the parents of Arthur are appreciated.

Any other family sources e.g., Jane's name being Janet, is also requested.

See public member tree "All Americans-Lincoln and Cabell County" for details of transcription.
