POWELL of the same ___ of the second part witnesseth that the said Joseph H. CARNES of the first part has & in consideration of the sum of twenty two dollars $22.00 can in hand....

This was found at the bottom of one of Jeremiah BURTON'S deeds, and may be the same transaction sited below. Perhaps 1893 was the "recorded" date. gb
