Mary Isbell, purported daughter of John and Elizabeth Adams, was born in 1833 per 1850 Federal Census, Western District, Anderson County, SC. It is reported that Mary Isbell married Thomas A. Carnes in ca 1867 Anderson County SC. Mary Isbell Carnes died in 1896 in Oconee County SC and Thomas A. Carnes died in 1908 in Oconee County SC. Both are buried in Beaver Dam Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Fairplay, Oconee County, SC. John Isbell was born 1803, Pendelton District, Anderson County, and died 1861, Anderson County, SC.

I need to document that Mary Isbell, above, married Thomas A. Carnes. So far, I have not found a marriage record, or anything else to document that relationship. Any one have knowledge of above relationships, and know of documentation?
