Manasseh Carns NJ, PA, OH 1760's to 1850's
I'm still looking for the family of Manasseh Carns.Census records indicate that he was born in Morris Co. NJ in about 1763. Land records show him buying land from Abner Reeves in 1788 in Rostraver Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA.The 1790 Westmoreland Co. Census lists him as Manasa Kerns.
Manasseh and his wife Mary sold land in Westmoreland Co., PA in 1799 to James Proctor.
Manasseh moved to Jefferson Co., OH sometime before 1806.He shows up on the 1806 Tax List.He spent the rest of his life in Jefferson, Tuscarawas, Carroll, and Harrison Co., OH and died sometime after the 1850 Census.
