My 3 x Great Grandmother was Anne Carrick, born about 1814, and I believe she may have been the sister of your Robert.I cannot find evidence of Anne's birth but she married John Healy in 1835 in Currow, about 10 miles from Tralee. They had children Thomas (1836) Mary (1839) Honora (1841) Anne (1845) and Catherine (1847).They emigrated to England sometime between 1844 to 1847.
I am afraid I have not been able to find out anything about the Carrick's prior to their arrival in England but given that Carrick/Carrique is an unusual surname, there is a fair chance our ancestors are related.Tralee would have been the main town for the area where my Anne was married and on census returns place of birth is stated as Tralee.
I look forward to hearing from you if you think there is a link here.
Sue
