Our linege starts with my husbands father Howard Frances Carrow b. 5 Mar 1915, his father was Roy E. Carrow b. 20 Jan 1895, Charles Fred Carrow b. 14 June 1854, John C. Carrow b. 6 June 1819. All from Illinois and Indiana except John C. Carrow. We do not have any information on John except that he maried Anna ?. Charles also spelled his last name Carro or it is on his marriage license however we have proof through the family tht he is related as stated above. The Carrow arms is officially documented in Burkes General Armory. I will scan it this wekend and send you a copy via e-mail. I have through Family Tree Maker found reference to Sir Ralph Shelton who was High Sheriff of Norfolk in 1570 and inherited the manors of Shelton, Snoring and Carrow. Maybe you can help with this information.

Sir Ralph Shelton b. bef 1530 died 3 Oct 1580 in Snoring Magna, Norfolk. He married Mary Wodehouse in 1551 and later Anne Barrow. Hope this helps.
