My abject apologies, Sharon, for not answering your post on John Reed and Margaret Carson!I somehow overlooked it and just now found it.To begin with I don't know for sure who the parents of John or Margaret are and I don't like to pass along anything thatI can't prove even though I have theories. And also I may be wrong in thinking that Margaret Reed married William Rutledge in Maury County, Tenn. before she died even though I found a marriage bond for them.I descend from Margaret, daughter of John and Margaret. She married a Campbell, supposedly Thomas, and her sister Mary married Andrew Campbell.Margaret Reed Campbell married Elam Waddell in 1827 in Lauderdale, Alabama and after a short return to Maury Tennessee went to Mississippi in 1830 and then to Arkansas in 1854 and died there.I can give you the rest of "me" later but this is getting pretty long. What I want to say is that I would like everything you have about James Reed of Franklin, Alabama.I had lost track of him and it might help me fill in some gaps in the time period of 1820-1840.A cousin has worked with me on this for a long time and I am afraid we may have some wrong information on which sister married which Campbell. Are you willing to give me the run-down on all the children of John and Margaret that you have?I will do the same for [email protected]
