Marshaleigh,
Have you heard of a lady named Virginia Green? She is also a Lambert and Sarah Davidson Clayton descendant. See her Sept. 1998 queries on Genform at (Carson message board, msg. 244) and (Davidson maessage board, msg. 451).
There is a man named Larry Hakel who has a lot of info. on this family at this link http://www.ads-software.com/hakel/d0005/g0000000.htmlhttp://www.ads-software.com/hakel/d0005/g0000000.html
Larry included much of the same data in a gedcom at the worldconnect site.

Analysis of the names of witnesses to the York SC 1778 deed of Sarah Davidson to Samuel and Thomas Carson and the will of Thomas Davidson definitely connects to surnames/individuals in southern Rowan (now Iredell) Co., NC. The KERR, FALLS, NEILL and DAVIDSON surnames are found on grants, deeds and tax lists in the area of Norwood’s Creek, Lambert’s Mill Creek and Davidson Creek branches of the Catawba River. There were CARSONS in this area too.
