I have an ancestor Malinda Carson who was b. 1800 in VA and there are many Thomas Carsons in the family. She m. Robert Carson Patterson b. VA 1789 and legend says the Carsons and Pattersons came to America from Ireland at the same time. We think they came to VA from PA - not proven. Could there be a connection?
