I spent a bit of time, several years ago, in the Pilot Mtn/Pinnacle areasof NC and found Carsons buried in the Mt. Airy cemetery. I would love to receive a copy of your information on the Carson clan in that area as I am trying to determine whether there is a direct lineage to Kit Carson. I am having difficulty matching up the dates and the time line and I am getting stuck with all of the Williams and Rebeccas.

Thank you for any information you may be able to provide. My family came from the Pilot Mtn area in the 1930's where my dad was born. They later lived in the Raleigh, NC area until moving to the Columbia, SC area. I have a grandmother named Agnes Carson, a great aunt named Dolly (not her original name), two half-sisters (great aunts) named Alice and Evelyn and a great uncle named George Carson. George disappeared a long time ago and was never heard from again.

Thanks again,

Vernon Lee Carson Hershberger
