I found this reference for Carson and Maxwell land deed 1750...does anyone know about this? I believe this Carson/Carsan family were famous merchant shippers with later affiliations in Philadelphia? Probably associated with the Dunlope, Cunnningham and Barclay families.
MacMaster quotes in his book Rev John Maxwell Presbyterina minister of Armagh was brother in law to Samuel and Andrew Carson and Robert Barclay. Rev John Carson married Rose Carson.
