Your Elizabeth Carter-Chandler may have been a descendant of Thomas Carter, Sr. of Goochland County, Virginia but if she was, the exact connection is still a mystery to me.There are still a lot of unknown branches of this family and there were a lot of men with the name John Carter.
Your autosomal DNA test results are of no value in making the connection to the Y-DNA test results.Autosomal DNA and Y-DNA are two different things.
...................
Human DNA
I - Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA)
II - Nucleic DNA (23 chromosome pairs)
.... A - Autosomal DNA (22 chromosome pairs)
.... B - Allosome DNA (XY or XX chromosome pair)
........ 1 - Y chromosome (male)
........ 2 - X chromosome

A lot of incorrect claims about the family of Thomas Carter, Sr. of Goochland County, Virginia have "gone viral".I think a lot of these incorrect claims originated with the Malone book.Incorrect rumors happened before the Internet. The Internet just makes them happen faster.
Penele's original surname was not Carroll.
Thomas Carter, Sr. of Goochland County, Virginia was not married to a Susannah Baynes.
Robert Carter's wife Mary was not a Hulsey.
Thomas Carter, Jr. of Goochland County, Virginia was not married to Mary Kilpatrick.
Thomas Carter, Sr. of Goochland County, Virginia was not a 3rd un-documented son of Giles Carter, Sr. of Henrico County, Virginia.
Thomas Carter, Sr. of Goochland County, Virginia was not the same Thomas Carter as the son of William Carter of Middlesex County, Virginia.
Did I miss any?
While I'm on the topic of incorrect claims, I'd like to add that I'm seeing more and more incorrect information on the Find-A-Grave website.People are NOT STICKING TO THE FACTS.People are adding THEIR OPINIONS as facts.
