This is a real long shot but when I was in MS at the Archives recently I found a marriage that may connect the Catledge name with someone in the Cartledge family. It's B.F. Catledge to A.B. Tison(that's the female) on 12/24/1881 in Sumner County MS. The bondsman was W. T. McQuerry. The McQuary's married into the Cartledge's by Jasper McQuary's daughter Martha being the wife of John D. Cartledge. Bondsmen were usually, though not always, related. So--who is this marriage and who are the parents--I'd nose around there.
