As you can see there are no Walters or Williams here although there could be another link as you don't mention any dates.
The Francis aged 14 was my great grandfather who married Catherine Dolman nee White. The names you mention don't ring any bells from that generation.
The Francis who was head of the family was born in 1836 and baptised in Rochdale his parents were Isaac and Mary. This Francis married Jane Drinkwater in 1857 at Manchester Cathedral.
Does any of this seem a possible match with what you have?
Do you know anything of a George Cartledge who was hanged on 4th April 1929 at Manchester prison for the murder of his wife?
If you know any dates it might be easier to match up.
Ann
PS I am also still in the Manchester area
Francis who is aged 14 was my great grandfather
