My grandmother was born/baptised in Eckington, Derbys in 1895 - though spent most of her lifetime in a village called Wales(Nr Sheffield)where her grandfather lived and where his sons Peter (my great grandfather), Jack and Alwyn eventually settled.

My grandmother (Lily) provided living history and often spoke of childhood visits to relatives in Blackpool. I suspect William Cartlidge had a Derbys connection.
