Hi Ann, James is on 1901 and 1911 census.He is married to Sarah Sykes Henry.They were both born in Lancashire.Alexander was their seventh child born in Hulme Lancashire.
I have found that the Dragoons were based in Nottingham and Dublin at the time Isaac's children were born I am yet to prove it is the same family but I have found a son called Thomas who was born at the barracks in Edinburgh and died at five months.He is buried in Restalrig Churchyard in 1825.
