Hello,
I am a descendant of Gervase Cartledge b. 1750. As far as I know all my Cartledge ancestors were from Nottinghamshire (Linby and Hucknall).
I have heard stories in my family that the Cartledge's held some sort of peerage in Nottingham at one point (I have been told the 1500s-1600s), could you please send me or let me know all the details about this that you have.
Thanks heaps,
Yianni
